This is a rustic farmhouse ale made with a good portion raw rye malt. This spent six months aging in French oak puncheon barrels, which on a side note just happens to be one of my favorite types of barrels, In these barrels the beer aged with an amalgamation of different brettanomyces yeast strains, including one that was captured in the wild in Sonoma County. The end result produces a beer that is floral, peppery, and dry, with an earthy wild yeast character, that will increase with aging. Dig it. Pairs well with beach camping and any food cooked over an open flame
This is a blend of styles and is a little difficult to describe. Let's just say its a belgian style beer, heavily hopped with late kettle additions of Mosaic hops. Its then dry hopped to levels of of lunacy with more of the same hops, and finally, it receives a dose of brettanomyces. This is like an afrobeat groove that won't quit. Its like getting slapped in the face by a funky ball of tits from outer space. Pairs well with syncopated rhythms, late night tree climbing, and blanket forts.
This is a blend of styles and its a little difficult to describe. Let's just say its a Belgian style beer, heavily hopped with late kettle additions of Nelson Sauvin, its then dry hopped to levels of absurdity with more of the same hops, and finally, it receives a dose of brettanomyces. It is designed to put the funk into your face. Its not about IBU's, its about the aromatics. Open now to enjoy a hop experience, open later to see how it melds with the wild yeast. Pairs well with bass grooves, day drinking, and outdoor activities. Dig it.
In your hand is our version of a traditional farmhouse ale following the old world method and ingredients of pilsner malt and raw wheat with classic noble hop varieties. It is fermented with a classic French yeast strain to ensure a dry finish. After some aging, it then undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle with the wild yeast, brettanomyces. With time it will develop increasingly funky and barnyard characteristics. Aromatic, dry, crispy, bubbly and funky. Pairs well with many foods, but mainly good people and good times.
