who we are
Our space is big, but at Shady Oak, we’re a small family - what we’ve lovingly deemed “The Shady Bunch.”
The best part of what we do and what’s truly great about beer is its ability to unite people. We pride ourselves in our dedication to being a strong community hub, doing what we can to support local artists, musicians, activists and non-profit groups in our own backyard.
We don’t believe ego belongs in your glass, which is why we welcome folks of all walks of life to share their unique experiences over a pint. (Just be nice, please.)
what we do
We love what we do. In a day and age when not much is certain, we love knowing we have brewing to help keep us centered each and every day.
In an area known for its wine, we’re pushing the envelope with our beer. We work with local farmers and fruit producers to highlight and pay tribute to the beautiful landscape we call home - what we call “Beer Country.” We use yeast and bacteria not commonly found in commercial beers to add distinctive flavor and aroma. We constantly and unequivocally challenge our palates in ways that teach us new things - about our processes, our product, and ourselves.
Whether we’re playing around with the latest beer craze, sprucing up traditional styles, or “thinking outside the barrel” with our wild stuff, we stand behind what we put forward.
